Evolution – Practitioner Development

What is an Evolution Day?

A space to deepen and expand how you work with sound.

Evolution Days are designed to offer a supportive and focused environment where you can explore and continue developing your practice and skills as a sound facilitator.

Each Evolution day has a different theme, providing a practical opportunity to work with specific instruments and approaches, while also developing a responsive, spacious and connected way of working with sound.

This includes building confidence not just in what you play, but in how you listen, respond and use both sound and silence within a session.

This Evolution theme

Hand Gongs, Bells & Resonant Metal Instruments

During this day, we’ll be working with smaller resonant metal instruments, including:

• hand gongs
• bells
• chimes and other metal instruments

These instruments will be used as a medium to explore how sound can be shaped through listening, timing and awareness.

We’ll explore:

• listening and responding within sound
• creating space rather than filling it
• pacing and allowing sound to breathe
• layering sound without overwhelm
• working as part of a shared sound field

A key part of the day will explore how to listen and respond as part of a shared sound field — creating a more connected, almost orchestral experience within a group setting.

You do not need to bring any instruments — everything will be provided.

How the day will flow

The day will include:

• a guided sound experience using these instruments
• practical exploration and technique
• listening-based group exercises
• short practitioner-led sound journeys
• group reflection and shared learning

There will also be time to ask questions and discuss real experiences from your own sessions.

Who this is for

This day is suitable for those already working with sound who want to deepen their practice, including:

• sound bath facilitators
• sound practitioners and therapists

Whether you’ve trained formally or developed your own way of working, you’re very welcome.

For those who have completed our Sound Bath Practitioner training, this day offers a natural next step in your development.

If you haven’t yet completed the training, it also offers a valuable insight into our approach.

• Parking is available nearby (£5 per day)
• Please bring your own lunch (A fridge is available for use)
