This training is designed for Sound Bath Practitioner graduates who would like to expand into one-to-one work using Himalayan bowls on and around the body.
It builds directly on the foundations introduced in our Sound Bath Practitioner training — including trauma-informed practice, safe facilitation and your understanding of sound — and develops these into practical one-to-one work using direct vibration.
Working this way allows sound to be experienced differently: more personally, more specifically and often more deeply.
This is a practical, hands-on training designed to help you feel confident working safely, professionally and responsively in a one-to-one setting.
Sound Massage is a one-to-one approach using Himalayan (metal) bowls placed on and around the body.
The vibration can be both heard and physically felt, creating a grounding and deeply restorative experience.
Sessions can support:
• relaxation and settling
• body awareness and connection
• easing held tension
• supporting nervous system regulation
• creating a calm and supportive space for rest and reset
The focus of this training is to give you clear practical foundations you can use confidently and build on over time.
• How to safely place and play Himalayan bowls on different areas of the body
• Practical bowl sequences for key body areas
• How to work with tingshas appropriately within a session
• Creating and holding a safe, trauma-informed one-to-one space
• Practical session structure and flow
• Ways to adapt your approach responsively while staying grounded in a clear framework
Hands-on practical learning
A supportive small-group training day with direct demonstration, guided practice and time to build confidence through repetition.
Experience from both sides
Across the day you’ll both practise and receive sound massage sessions yourself — helping you understand not only how to facilitate, but how the experience feels for the person receiving.
A clear practical framework
You’ll leave with:
• practical bowl sequences for different parts of the body
• simple session planning guidance
• client body-mapping templates to support note-taking and follow-up
• growing confidence in one-to-one work
• practical experience you can build on straight away
Instruments and resources
All instruments are provided on the day.
You’ll also have access to recommended instrument sources and the opportunity to purchase select Himalayan bowls personally sourced by Debbie in Nepal.
This training is available to graduates of our Sound Bath Practitioner training who would like to expand into one-to-one work.
